North Sea Advent calendar

Fascination North Sea - From Emden, through the East Frisian Islands along the Lower Saxony coast, continuing to Schleswig-Holstein, across the North Frisian Islands and Halligen to Niebüll. The German North Sea coast stretches 621 km in length, including the river mouths. Characteristic of the coast are expansive beaches, dunes and dikes, ferries and excursion boats, animals in the water and the foreshore that thrive in the saltwater and surf, and houses that can withstand the North Sea storms. Helgoland, the only island located about 50 km off the coast in the German Bight, offers a high-sea climate. As diverse as the impressions in the different regions are, there are unique features that attract millions of holidaymakers to this coast year after year.
