The Flatmate has a footprint of only 0.09 m² when closed, making it likely the smallest fully equipped secretary on the market. Its slim depth and simple, unobtrusive exterior can transform long, old building corridors into a home office when needed, provide a place for writing letters in the bedroom, or serve as a temporary workspace in a weekend house. The Flatmate even makes it possible to utilize spaces that are unsuitable for conventional furniture; due to its compact dimensions, this reinterpretation of the secretary is ideal for mobile users.

The integrated flexible interior design features storage options for traditional writing instruments as well as tablet PCs and similar devices, combining characteristics of a classic piece of furniture with the new form of connected living and working. When complemented by a Bluetooth keyboard (not included), a mobile tablet PC becomes a stationary ergonomic workspace with integrated power supply; the mobile phone can be discreetly charged on the limited workspace. The glare-free lighting and the invisible power outlet are activated by the elegant 1.30-meter-long black textile cable: plug and work. Behind the side flaps, there is space for two 8 cm wide standard binders, a 17" laptop along with accessories, as well as CDs or similar items.
