Georg Jensen Coupling vase

Koppel Vase. The timelessly beautiful shape of these distinctly bulbous vases is based on the designs of the Danish design luminary Henning Koppel (1918–1981). The native of Copenhagen, who trained in drawing and sculpture, had to spend the time of World War II in exile in Sweden due to his Jewish heritage. Here, he acquired his skills in gold and silversmithing, which he established immediately upon his return home with Georg Jensen – a highly fruitful collaboration that was recognized with numerous awards and lasted until Koppel's death. Georg Jensen offers the vases in two different material variants, each with its own unique character: in shiny polished stainless steel or in a more satin-matte glazed stoneware.
