The replacement chain is suitable for replacing existing roller chains with a ball diameter of 4.5 mm. The ball spacing is 12 mm. The chain can also be used as a replacement for ball chains with a spacing of 6 mm. It is approximately 5 m long, providing an operational length of nearly 2.50 m. The roller chain allows for a comfortable operating length and can be shortened to the desired length.
To replace the chain, the side pull mechanism must be removed from the roller. The existing chain is removed, and the new chain is installed. Small children can get caught in the roller chain and, in extreme cases, can strangle. Use one of the two safety devices (safety chain connector or chain holder). Please refer to the safety information in the installation manual.
The safety chain connector opens if a child gets caught in the chain. The chain can be reclosed with the safety chain connector. Please note: The chain connector can also open with very strong pulling on the chain.
The chain holder must be attached to the wall in such a way that the chain hangs taut and does not provide an opportunity for a child to get their head caught in the loop. After shortening the chain to the desired length, the chain is closed with a chain connector that is not self-releasing.
