Product details
The queen of flowers. It takes 30 organic roses to produce a single drop of this precious essential oil!
This beautiful organic rose oil comes from the Kerman province in southern Iran. Here, damask roses are cultivated by hundreds of small farmers on the slopes of the Lalehzar mountains at an altitude of 2000-3000 meters above sea level and distilled in the valley by a cooperative. The cooperative has made a name for itself because rose cultivation can provide farmers with a reliable income as a replacement for the previously grown opium poppy. The farmers also share in the profits of the rose distillery. A nice anecdote: The leftover mash from the rose distillation, which was once considered a waste product, is pressed into brick molds, dried in the sun, and used as rose bricks for heating.
