Product details

Bark vase by Michel Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui began in 2015 with the eponymous table centerpiece. The designers were inspired by their home, the Casa Boucquillon. Like the other objects in this collection, the flower vase is produced at the company's workshop in Crusinallo di Omegna. The special manufacturing process, including cutting the steel plate, laser perforation, and subsequent profiling and welding, gives the vase its extraordinary appearance. The design of the Bark vase, as the name suggests, is inspired by the bark of trees. The perforations resemble knots in the wood, while the cylindrical shape of the vase evokes the image of a tree trunk. The flowers inside transform it into a poetic object, a small tree of life.
