Advent greetings from Wimmlingen, double card

Rotraut Susanne Berner, born in 1948 in Stuttgart, studied graphic design in Munich and works there as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. She was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Medal and has won the German Youth Literature Prize three times. The AKJ Special Prize for Illustration in 2006 also went to Rotraut Susanne Berner. She is one of the most well-known contemporary illustrators and book designers beyond the German-speaking world. She has designed and illustrated countless books for children and adults and has created her own picture books. In 2009, Rotraut S. Berner was awarded the Schwabinger Art Prize and in 2016, she received the Grand Prize from the German Academy for Children’s and Youth Literature in Volkach, as well as the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
