Abstract: This is a teaching plan for the 9th grade of an integrated comprehensive school (IGS) with the topic of advertising in everyday life. Students are confronted with advertising in their daily lives, whether reading a newspaper, watching television, or surfing the internet. They may be aware that advertising aims to market a product, but they do not understand how advertising works and what influence it has on purchasing behavior. Therefore, learning about sales and manipulation strategies is very important for students so that they know how to handle advertising appropriately and can critically question it. We cannot immunize children against the influence of advertising, but we can provide them with a framework in which they can discuss with each other and with us how the game works. This makes it clear that students should be made aware of the advertising strategies used.
