Product details
The official series of UK50 (topographic map 1:50000) provides targeted recreational information for contiguous Bavarian regions. The map is based on the TK50 (topographic map 1:50000) with UTM grid for GPS users and terrain representation. In map sheet UK50-46, Kempten (Allgäu), one of Germany's oldest cities, is at the center. To the east of the sheet lies the Kempter Forest and the Wertach River. To the south, we have the mountains near Pfronten and a small northern part of the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park. From the Grünten mountain, ridges rise like waves towards the west. Cyclists will particularly enjoy the heart of the Allgäu region. Many beautiful bike paths, such as the Lake Constance-Königssee cycle path, the Allgäu round trip, or the routes of the districts of Unter-, Ober- and Ostallgäu lead to numerous sights. On the Iller cycle path, you pass directly by the impressive Iller gorge near Altusried. Numerous stairs lead down a picturesque path to the Iller River. The long-distance hiking trail Bavarian Swabian Jakobusweg passes through there. For hikers, the Munich Jakobsweg and the trails of the Allgäu hiking trilogy are recommended for exploring the region. Many shorter paths are perfect for day trips. Refreshments for cyclists and hikers are available at lakes such as Rottachsee, Grüntensee, Grosser Alpsee, and Niedersonthofener See. The ultimate recreational fun can be found at Germany's fastest zip line, the AlpspitzKick in Nesselwang. Families can enjoy a relaxing outing at the Butterfly Experience World in Pfronten.
