Product details
The official series of UK50 (surrounding map 1:50000) provides targeted leisure information for contiguous Bavarian regions. The map is based on the TK50 (topographic map 1:50000) with UTM grid for GPS users and terrain representation. The map content illustrates the entire eastern area of Munich. Since this region is only slightly inclined, it offers ideal conditions for cyclists. However, hikers will also find many attractive routes between Erdinger Moos and Glonn. Various individual destinations such as the Wildpark Poing, Munich Airport, or the Erdinger Therme allow for diverse leisure activities. In the southern part of the map, large state forests shape the landscape. Some villages appear as islands embedded in the forested areas. Straight forest clearings create a checkerboard pattern in the tree cover. The approximately 90 km² Ebersberger Forest not only offers local recreation through its environmental station (museum and educational trail) but also provides a wealth of information. Additional attractions include the 36-meter-high observation tower Ludwigshöhe or the Sauschütt Hohenlinden with its wildlife enclosures. Further east, the map presents an appealing hilly landscape. Here, many lively streams traverse the varied moraine landscape. Often, bathing lakes such as Egglburger See, Kastensee, or Steinsee provide cyclists and hikers with a welcome refreshment.
