Three detective novels

Three crime novels, three times the master speaker Hans Korte. In "The Suspicion," Commissioner Bärlach is in the hospital and reads an article in Life magazine about the notorious Nazi doctor Nehle, who operated without anesthesia in the Stutthof concentration camp. The man in the photo looks eerily familiar to him. In "The Judge and His Executioner," Commissioner Bärlach, already terminally ill, has little time left to bring his eternal adversary, the master criminal Gastmann, to justice. However, a murder that Gastmann did not commit seems to offer a possibility. "The Promise" addresses a completely different yet tragically relevant topic: sexual crimes against children. Commissioner Matthäi is fiercely on the hunt for a child murderer, and he spares no danger to bring him to justice.
