In Linares, people still tell the story of the day when the old Nana Reja found the baby. Surrounded by a swarm of bees, little Simonopio initially aroused suspicion among the superstitious villagers. However, the Morales family takes the wild boy into their hacienda, where he grows up always accompanied by his bees. Although he will never speak, he understands nature more than anyone else. As the Mexican Revolution rages and the Spanish flu hits the region, he saves the family more than once from disaster with his gift. But not all the residents of the hacienda have good intentions towards the boy...
