Product details

When Rainer Malkowski debuted in 1975 with the collection "What a Morning," it was the era of new subjectivity in poetry. In his poems, attention to the everyday and ordinary is turned towards the philosophical question of the essence of things and does not remain in subjectivity. By avoiding every significant and metaphor-rich discourse, Rainer Malkowski delves deeper into the core truth of his observations. While his poems are a vehement protest against the pretensions of science and the disenchantment of the world, they do so not from radical subjectivity, but through their precision. In his poems, every word is backed by sensory impression. Rainer Malkowski published nine volumes of poetry during his lifetime. The entire lyrical work of the author, who passed away in 2003, is that of one of the most successful copywriters.
