Flap text
This book is more topical than ever and a great help for parents and educators to talk to children about the Middle East conflict and the relationship between the religions: Three cicadas travel to Jerusalem for a concert of the animals. The first comes from a mosque, the second from a monastery and the third lives next to a synagogue. All three want nothing to do with each other. When each of them tried to start their presentation, the disappointment was great: none of the cicadas were heard - they were too small and therefore too quiet. But their failure gives them an idea: they make music together and are successful. Helga Höfle shows in an original way the possible dialogue of the three monotheistic world religions from the Holy Land. Verena Lenzen has illustrated this story imaginatively and in great detail. With a foreword by the religious philosopher Shalom Ben-Chorin.
