On the basis of current case law, the new edition focuses in particular on:

• The amendments to the DB-GvKostG which came into force on January 1, 2023.
• A new commentary on turnover tax as an issue (no. 717 KV GvKostG).
• The linear increase in bailiffs' fees by 10%, effective from November 1, 2021.
• Other new issues arising from the introduction of electronic legal transactions, such as the execution of electronic service or the levying of the flat-rate document fee.
• Commentary on the effects of the term "order" regulated in section 3 of the GvKostG, the complexity of which continues to pose new challenges to practitioners.
• Further guidance and appropriate solutions for the charging of fees according to no. 207 and 208 KV GvKostG for the valid execution of the case (section 802b ZPO).
• The collection of fees and expenses in the registration order procedure (section 882c ZPO).
• The charging of fees for obtaining third-party information.

The commentary on the collection of service fees was also fundamentally revised.
