Is there a connection between forms of biographical educational habitus and school career? What is the nature of such a connection and what are the consequences for school education?
The results of a quantitative longitudinal study presented in this volume provide initial answers to these questions. In particular, the 7th school year is taken into account and its special significance for school careers is analyzed. Reconstructions of the educational habitus are linked with structures and demand logics of the school career, whereby theoretically open questions, such as the genesis and transformation of the habitus, can be answered with empirical reference._.
