Operating instructions: Insert the batteries into the handset according to the operating instructions. Charging begins when the handset is placed in the base station or charging cradle. It may take several hours to fully charge an empty battery pack. Overcharging or destruction of the batteries is prevented by the internal electronically controlled charger; the handset can remain in the charging cradle for as long as required. If the charging capacity of the rechargeable batteries decreases to such an extent that the operating time of the handset is noticeably reduced, the rechargeable batteries are exhausted and must be replaced with new ones.

Important notes on using the batteries: Only use rechargeable batteries approved in accordance with the operating instructions for the telephone. Only the same batteries should be used for battery packs. Do not use any other charging devices. Batteries can become warm during charging; this is a normal and harmless process. If batteries are exposed to the sun, heat or moisture, this can destroy the batteries or reduce their service life.
