Studio One Disco Mix (Vinyl)

Many sought-after tracks from the time when the extended version was invented. With the advent of new studio technology and the introduction of the 12" maxi single, a new, distinct style emerged in the 70s that brought together many aspects of reggae. Roots, lovers, disco, and dub blended together, and with the extended, extra-long versions, one of the most creative phases of the legendary Studio One was initiated. This album contains many sought-after pieces that were only released in very small quantities as 10" or 12" records at the time and have therefore often been unavailable for decades. Also featured on Studio One Disco Mix are tracks from the classic artists of the label such as Alton Ellis, Sugar Minott, Jackie Mittoo, and Willie Williams, but with the special disco touch of that era. Additionally, we find lesser-known Studio One artists.
