SCHOTT Missal - For the Days of the Week - Volume 1: Coined Times

Following the successful reissue of the SCHOTT Mass Books for Sundays and Feast Days (2018–2020), the first volume of the completely revised SCHOTT Mass Book for weekdays and the feast days of saints is now being released. The SCHOTT contains the original texts from the authentic edition of the Mass Book and the Mass Lectionary, with introductions published by the Benedictines of the Abbey of Beuron. The SCHOTT Mass Book allows users to follow all texts of the Catholic Eucharistic celebration, providing a deeper and more conscious access to the liturgy of the service. It also serves as a practical aid for all clergy, lay ministers, and volunteers in church service, from the pastor to the cantor, in preparing for worship.

The volumes offer the following:
* Concise commentaries on the biblical readings – a deepening of faith.
* Structuring of the biblical readings (according to the revised Common Translation 2016) into speaking lines as in the Mass Lectionary – a practical aid for service planning.
* Responsorial psalms arranged for singing – a useful support for cantors.
* Careful selection of relevant intercessions for each day – a personal prayer book.
* Short biographies of the saints from the Mass Book.
* Clear, well-organized text layout, two-color printing on thin paper, colored front and back matter – also a valuable gift book.
* With the liturgical calendar for the coming years.

The new SCHOTT Mass Book for weekdays will be released in three volumes:
Volume 1 covers the weekdays of the liturgical seasons (Advent and Christmas, Lent and Easter) along with the corresponding feast days of the saints.
Volume 2 contains the weekdays in the liturgical year up to the 17th week, along with the corresponding feast days of the saints (in preparation).
Volume 3 includes the weekdays in the liturgical year from the 18th to the 34th week, the end of the liturgical year, along with the corresponding feast days of the saints (in preparation).
