How robust is the cover, can anyone say who has been sitting on it for a year or 2?

Since the chair doesn't seem to have been in the Galaxus range for a whole year yet (at least judging by the product reviews), your question will unfortunately remain unanswered. According to the product description, however, it is an easy-care cover and should therefore be "robust" if you take good care of it.

Yes, the chair has a synchronous mechanism, i.e. the backrest and seat adjust synchronously at the same time.

Is the lumbar support in the small of the back comfortably hard or is it pushed backwards when sitting (Since it is a mesh back, I cannot imagine that the support sits well or is stable. Thank you for your answer.

The chair has 5 castors for carpeted floors. The chair is comfortable, not too hard, not too soft, good value for money. Assembled in 15 minutes.
