The main differences between the Cameo 5 Plus and the Cameo Pro MK-II include:
- Maximum cutting width: The Cameo Pro MK-II can cut up to 61 cm, while the Cameo 5 Plus is limited to around 37 cm.
- Maximum cutting length without a mat: Both machines can cut up to 5 metres, but the Cameo Pro MK-II is designed for continuous lengths of up to 18 metres with a roller.
- Carriage: The Cameo Pro MK-II has a double carriage, which is not the case with the Cameo 5 Plus.
- Use: The Cameo Pro MK-II is ideal for commercial applications or large-scale projects, while the Cameo 5 Plus is better suited to medium-format projects.
The plotter can be connected to the computer either via USB cable or Bluetooth. Connection via USB is possible and is particularly recommended for firmware updates, while Bluetooth is used for wireless connections.
The main difference to the Cameo 5 is the larger cutting width of the Cameo 5 Plus, which can process materials up to 15 inches (approx. 38 cm) wide, while the Cameo 5 can handle a maximum of 12 inches (approx. 30.5 cm). In addition, the Cameo 5 Plus is specially designed for larger projects and comes with a roll feeder that makes it easier to cut roll materials. Both models have a maximum material thickness of 3 mm and a cutting force of up to 5 kg, are Bluetooth and USB compatible and offer similar functions such as dual carriage and new power tools. The Cameo 5 Plus is therefore primarily optimised for larger and more extensive cutting jobs.
You can cut up to A4 size (210 mm x 297 mm) with the Silhouette cutting plotter Cameo 5 White (SILH-CAMEO-5-WHT-5T) without needing the Plus version. The Cameo 5 supports the cutting of materials up to a width of 210 mm.
