The hiking map Altmühltal-Panoramaweg is dedicated to the eponymous quality trail from Altmühlsee to Kelheim. In 2012, this trail was voted Germany's most beautiful hiking trail by the jury of the specialist magazine "Wandermagazin." The route follows the Altmühl through a diverse landscape: beech forests, bizarre rock formations, and expansive Jura heights characterize the scenery. Special attractions are accessible via loop trails, which are designed as circular routes that lead back to the main hiking path. The accordion fold allows for a division of the route into twenty sections with additional information about the region.
