The Hainichland offers a diverse insight into one of the last primeval forests in Germany with its national park. Many cycling and hiking trails traverse the area, connecting it with Eisenach, Bad Langensalza, the Eichsfeld National Park, as well as routes along the Unstrut and Werra rivers.
