Psychoanalysis and male homosexuality

Patrick Henze, Aaron Lahl and Victoria Preis get serious about reviewing the history of anti-homosexuality in psychoanalysis. They make clear that psychoanalysis can also benefit from the gay movement and its theorists. The authors of the volume argue for bringing the currently marginalised drive theory back into psychoanalytic discourse and making it productive for an understanding of sexual phenomena in all their facets. In doing so, they also put sensitive topics such as promiscuity, anal intercourse, paedosexuality and HIV in a new light.
