Product details

Canadian photographer Scott Wiese travelled through Europe for two years to visit and document the climate protests taking place on the continent. His impressive and candid photographs reflect the mood and reality of demonstrations and camps in a special way. From Hambach Forest to La Hague, his photographs show activists, their confrontation with the police and their commitment, while politicians and the majority of society practise suppressing the topic. Wiese underlays his black and white photographs with a yellow signal colour. This book is intended to document, but is also a tribute to those who put themselves in constant danger by protesting. Juni Zabot, activist from the climate justice movement and artist, describes in poems and an essay the reality, adversities and doubts that activists face in their daily actions.
