Transatlantic

Spring 1937: The Rath family is shattered. Charlotte Rath, née Ritter, had actually planned to be abroad by now, but circumstances keep her in Berlin. Her former foster son Fritze has been placed in the closed ward of the Wittenau mental institution, her best friend Greta has disappeared without a trace and is suspected of murder. Meanwhile, Gereon Rath, who is in hiding and believed to be dead by the authorities, finds it too dangerous to stay in Germany and boards a Zeppelin to escape to the USA. While Charly tries to get Fritze out of the clinic, solve the mystery of Greta's disappearance, and crack the murder case, events are unfolding across the Atlantic that she could never have imagined.
