In addition to his outstanding political career, including serving as Foreign Minister of the Weimar Republic, Gustav Stresemann (1878-1929) also became known for the design of a suit. The production of the Souverän barrel involves a complex process, as a striped piece of material is crafted from cotton in many steps according to a special recipe developed for Pelikan. This material is then shaped and subsequently polished to contour with a diamond. The palladium-plated rings on the top and bottom are fitted with the highest precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, characteristic Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its distinctive design. The Souverän K605 rollerball pen is equipped with a large-capacity refill in black ink.
