Supermarket employee Danielle is thoroughly fed up with her life in the small town. While she lives in a rundown place, her sister Margo and her husband Ed enjoy a life of luxury in New Orleans. When Margo and Ed have to travel, Danielle agrees to look after their villa. Upon arrival, it turns out that only Margo has left the city. When Ed offers Danielle to stay anyway, she enjoys all the comforts she could only dream of by his side. In Margo's designer dresses, Danielle attends events and explores the nightlife with her sister's friends. From Margo's colleagues, she learns that hardly anyone misses Margo. Although Ed admits they have marital problems and confirms that the police have searched their home for the missing housekeeper, Danielle ignores her concerns and becomes intoxicated by a completely new world. She increasingly infiltrates her sister's life, wanting everything that belongs to Margo, including her husband. Until one day, Danielle makes a discovery in her sister's house that turns all her doubts into a terrible certainty.
