Mountains of the Alps

The "Mountains of the Alps" book presents over 130 Alpine peaks from all Alpine countries. Organized by 63 mountain groups, it features mountains from the entire Alpine arc, from Monaco to Slovenia, from the foothills of the Alps to the highest peaks of Monte Rosa and the Mont Blanc massif. Each mountain is introduced with key geographical data, information on mountaineering such as ascent history, difficulty of the climb, and the main mountain huts in the area. The book showcases special climbing, hiking, and ski tour mountains and peaks where the effects of climate change in high mountain regions are already visible today. Additional special information and stories about each mountain complete the book. It was created in collaboration with the German Alpine Club.
