Minimum Requirements for Risk Management (MaRisk)

The now sixth amendment specifically addresses three new standards from the European Banking Authority (EBA). The commentary on the changes includes, among other things, the new EBA guidelines on the management of non-performing and deferred risk positions, outsourcing, and the management of ICT and security risks. Further additions are primarily based on experiences from supervisory practice.

The commentary also takes into account the relevant documents from the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the Financial Stability Board, and the European Central Bank. Additionally, the banking supervisory requirements for IT (BAIT) and the BaFin guideline on dealing with sustainability risks have been incorporated.
