Whether poetry, short prose, novels, or plays, art and theater criticism, experimental poetry, essays, translations, or autobiographies, there is no genre he did not explore. The earliest publication dates back to his student years, a review of art in the Bonn vernacular from 1912, while the last was published in 1975, a year before his death, in Paris.
