Product details
From the source of the Lahn River at the 600-meter-high Lahnkopf in the Rothaargebirge, the river flows to its confluence with the Rhine at Oberlahnstein. Forests and hills, meadows and floodplains, steep slopes and rocks accompany the approximately 280 km long route. The well-developed and signposted path mostly runs directly along the water. Beautiful towns are located along the route, some perched on high hills, inviting visitors to explore: Wetzlar, Weilburg, Braunfels, and Limburg. Additional highlights include the numerous castles, palaces, and old churches found in Biedenkopf, Marburg, Wetzlar, Giessen, Weilburg, Braunfels, Diez, Runkel, and Nassau. The Lahn is one of the most beautiful water sports areas for canoeists and is closely lined with campsites. There is plenty of variety along the cycling route. The best at a glance: 6 stages between 40-57 km in length, thoroughly researched, with information on procurement.
