Carlo Bernasconi was repeatedly asked for a vegetarian cookbook with menu suggestions, as creating larger vegetarian menus with a diverse and harmoniously coordinated sequence of dishes is indeed a higher art. Therefore, Carlo Bernasconi, who operated the vegetarian restaurant Osteria Candosin in Zurich, has compiled such menus for this book. In addition to simple seasonal 3-course menus, there are also more elaborate 5- or 6-course menus. Of course, the book is once again impressively illustrated by the wonderful Larissa Bertonasco, just as it was with the very first title in our successful cookbook series La Cucina verde, now in its 10th edition. La grande cucina vegetariana is also Carlo's legacy, as he was able to compile the menus, but unfortunately could not complete the book before his much too early death.
