Product details
Hannover is the capital of Lower Saxony and has a fascinating recreational area to the west - the Steinhuder Meer, the largest inland lake in Northern Germany. To the southwest of the metropolis, the picturesque hilly landscape of the Weserbergland awaits active visitors. Around Hildesheim, numerous hiking trails and themed routes welcome those who enjoy exploring the woods and mountains, such as in the 'Sieben Bergen'. Münster is one of the most bike-friendly cities in Germany and is often referred to as the Northern Rome due to its dense collection of churches. The Ems Cycle Path runs through Rheine and very close to Lingen (Ems): for nearly 400 km, it follows the river from its source to its mouth in the North Sea, almost without any elevation and away from traffic. Characteristic are the golden glistening cornfields and the church towers of charming villages on the horizon. This area is called 'Cyclist's Land with Passion' - and nothing more needs to be added! The gently rolling landscape in the Wildeshauser Geest Nature Park is shaped by the Ice Age and is perfect for cycling. The long-distance cycle paths Meerweg, Brückenradweg, and Hunteradweg shine with large stone and burial mounds, as well as numerous water and windmills.
