Product details
The film "Judgment Night" from 1993 essentially portrays the paranoid suburban perspective on life in the city, where the smallest misstep, like attempting to take a shortcut to a boxing match, can have fateful, if not deadly, consequences. And what music could better accompany this middle-class nightmare than a mix of the genres that suburban residents feared the most: rap and rock. It turned out to be an extremely fruitful collaboration; while the film flopped, the soundtrack achieved gold status.
"Judgment Night" produced four singles: "Judgment Night" by Biohazard and Onyx, "Just Another Victim" by Helmet and House of Pain, "Fallin" by Teenage Fanclub and De La Soul, and "Another Body Murdered" by Faith No More and Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. Additionally, it features a highly sought-after collaboration between Pearl Jam and Cypress Hill. Ice-T and Slayer deliver an unparalleled thrash experience, while Sonic Youth and Cypress Hill provide that slightly paranoid sound one gets when they love Mary Jane a little too much.
Available on vinyl for the first time since the original release.
