Experience Lorraine with all your senses. Are you ready for a journey of discovery to the nearby yet unfamiliar neighbor, Lorraine? On one hand, there’s urbanity, Art Nouveau architecture, and the cultural institution Centre Pompidou. On the other hand, there are subalpine mountains in the Vosges, ancient castles, and masters of violin making. Metz is known as the "shining city." At night, representative buildings are stylishly illuminated. A walk along the Moselle, a stroll through the historic arcades, or a visit to St. Stephen's Cathedral are already worth the trip. Nancy, the magnificent, with its Art Nouveau ensemble, can only be rivaled by Paris within France. Additionally, the city's squares exude an almost Italian flair. Moreover, both cities are easily accessible by TGV and are close to each other. Other regions of Lorraine are also highlighted in this volume, such as the relatively unknown Pays de Phalsbourg in the far east. As in previous volumes, the focus is on people and their passions. We let culinary virtuosos share their insights, peek over the shoulders of artisans, visit unique museums, and generally provide a behind-the-scenes look.
