Information: The map was published shortly after the founding of the GDR (October 7, 1949) by Justus Perthes in Gotha and was approved on November 17, 1949, by the Thuringian Ministry of Economy in Erfurt. The route network of the Rügen Kleinbahn is clearly visible. The map features the boundaries of urban and rural districts, villages and towns including Stralsund, main and secondary railway lines, stops, churches, chapels, travel paths, footpaths, forest wardens, forestry offices, megalithic tombs, and windmills. Additionally, it includes landing stages, landing sites, lighthouses, sand and meadows, locations with youth hostels, coniferous and deciduous forests, as well as memorials.
