Gendering Disability

Both gender and disability are social constructs. Both are constantly produced in everyday life, in exchange with other people and institutions. This interdisciplinary volume discusses the multiple entanglements of disability and gender by taking intersectional perspectives: How are disability and gender linked to the categories of "race," ethnicity, age, sexuality, and life forms? For the first time in the German-speaking world, the contributions bring together insights from migration research, demographic research and queer studies, among others, with discussions from the fields of disability and gender studies.
