Oil-based pastel pencils offer wonderful possibilities for applying both extremely intense, vibrant colors and delicate pastel shades. Due to their high luminosity, the colored pencils are ideal for encaustic as well as various pastel and scraping techniques. Depending on the desired artistic effect, you can smudge them with your finger or blend them with a brush and turpentine or white spirit.
