Elope is the fourth studio album by American R&B and pop singer Christina Milian, planned for release in 2010. After leaving Def Jam Records in 2006, Milian began writing songs and recorded her first tracks in 2007. In 2008, she signed a contract with MySpace Records and started collaborating with producers The-Dream and Tricky Stewart in 2009. The album, originally titled "Dream in Color," was renamed "Elope" to reflect the themes of personal responsibility and decision-making. The collaboration with The-Dream and Tricky Stewart shaped the sound of the entire album, which will ultimately be distributed by Interscope Records. The personal relationship between Milian and The-Dream that developed during the production led to their decision to marry in September 2009, shortly after the recording was completed.
