District of Eichsfeld

Wonderful hiking trails, exciting cycling paths, and traditional villages - the Eichsfeld region has a lot to offer. A tradition spanning over 1111 years shapes this area. The proximity to the former inner-German border has preserved unique cultural and natural landscapes in the heart of Germany. The Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park provides space for rare biotopes and natural landscapes, as well as many opportunities for nature observation. The newly published 4th edition of the cycling and hiking map 'Eichsfeldkreis' presents the entire region of Eichsfeldkreis and the historical Eichsfeld with Duderstadt as its center. In close collaboration with hiking clubs, tourism information centers, and the district administration, the modified cycling and hiking trails have been documented and published in this updated edition. A UTM grid allows for the use of a GPS receiver, and the integrated terrain shading visualizes the low mountain range.
