Der Windhof

Since the tragic death of her husband, Mel has hardly left her apartment in Cologne. However, when a fall leaves her grandmother Lene bedridden, Mel must travel to the rugged Westerwald. The taciturn Lene instilled fear in her as a child. Yet, on the lonely farm where the wind whispers in the trees at night and brushes against the old walls, the two women, marked by life, slowly begin to draw closer to each other. Lene's dramatic story, the endless expanse of her homeland, and not least the attractive family doctor, Noah Berkamp, gradually open Mel's heart again to the question of what life may still hold for her.
