Product details
The cycling map represents one of the most historically significant regions in central Germany - Bad Frankenhausen and the Peasants' War, the Kyffhäuser and the red-bearded Emperor Barbarossa, the Lutherstadt Eisleben and the great reformer, Nebra with the famous sky disk, Nordhausen with its long tradition of distilling, and Weissensee with the oldest German purity law for beer. The South Harz, Kyffhäuser Mountains, Hainleite, Schmücke, Hohe Schrecke, the Thuringian Basin, as well as the river valleys of Unstrut and Helme offer a great variety of landscapes. In addition to the outstanding scenery with its unique flora and fauna, the region offers much to learn and experience in terms of culture and history. The map was created based on geographical, landscape, and tourist aspects. It extends from Niedersachswerfen and Klostermansfeld in the north to Bad Tennstedt, Sömmerda, and Rastenberg in the south. It stretches westward from Grossengottern and Sollstedt and eastward to Lutherstadt Eisleben and Nebra. The towns of Artern, Bad Frankenhausen, Bleicherode, Greussen, Heldrungen, Kelbra, Kölleda, Memleben, Nebra, Nordhausen, Rossla, Rossleben, Rottleberode, Sangerhausen, Schlotheim, Sondershausen, Tilleda, and Weissensee are also rich in sights. It is wonderful that visitors can explore the diversity of the region very well by bike. The cycling map, at a scale of 1:75,000, measures 98 x 63 cm and is printed on water- and tear-resistant, recyclable material. What makes this cycling map special is that it depicts the surfaces of cycling routes in three different quality levels. Cycling paths, car-free routes, and bike routes on public roads and paths are color-coded.
