Product details
The bicycle map depicts the eastern part of the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast, including the holiday island of Fehmarn. Historic places are featured, such as the Hanseatic city of Lübeck with its world-famous old town, the port city of Neustadt in Holstein, Eutin as a former intellectual center of Northern Europe, and the district town of Ostholstein, Oldenburg. Ostholstein is a very popular recreational area, as evidenced by the Baltic Sea resorts of Hohwacht, Heiligenhafen, Grossenbrode, Dahme (Holstein), Kellenhusen (Baltic Sea), Grömitz, Scharbeutz, Travemünde, and Timmendorfer Strand, as well as the Baltic Sea resorts of Haffkrug, Sierksdorf, and Niendorf. The Holsteinische Schweiz Nature Park is characterized by a charming lake landscape, with Bad Malente, Eutin, and Plön as its central locations. The scenic diversity of the region, which is traversed by a well-developed network of tourist cycling paths, is marked by long, gently sloping beach sections along the coasts of Hohwacht and Lübeck Bay, numerous larger and smaller inland lakes, as well as the courses of the Trave, Schwartau, and the Oldenburg Canal. The map was created based on geographical, landscape, and tourist aspects. The sheet extends from the island of Fehmarn in the north to the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in the south. To the west, it reaches Plön and the Selenter See, and to the east, it extends to the Baltic Sea resorts of Grossenbrode and Dahme (Holstein).
