Approximately 590 km lie between the starting point of the Danube Cycle Path in the Black Forest (Donaueschingen) and Passau in Lower Bavaria. The Danube Cycle Path is one of the most frequented cycling routes in Germany. This is no surprise, given its variety. It passes through the Black Forest and the Swabian Jura, cycling through forests in Bavaria and the wild and romantic Danube Gorge near Kehlheim at the foot of the Franconian Jura.
