Einheitlichkeit und Transparenz in der Strafzumessung

The work addresses the question of the necessity and design options for offense-specific decision-making standards in sentencing. Starting from the widespread criticism of regional differences in sentencing and the lack of transparency in sentencing in Germany, the author discusses possible solutions, including the creation of a sentencing database and the introduction and design of sentencing guidelines. In doing so, she also looks at models from other countries, particularly England and Wales, and discusses solutions using specific offenses as examples. A particular focus is placed on the offense of tax evasion.
