Product details

"Catch 22," also known as "Falle 22" or "Trick 22" - this is the equally insane and hopeless directive for the American bombing squadron, according to which bomber pilot Yossarian can only be spared from further missions if he is recognized as insane. However, no one can be considered insane if they refuse to continue flying increasingly pointless missions. Therefore, Yossarian, like his comrades, must keep flying, even though he tries his hardest to appear insane. He aims to demonstrate the absurdity of the military machinery through seemingly absurd behavior. Yet the war machine, fueled by personal ambition, ignorance, brutality, and cowardice, fails to recognize its own madness in the mirror that Yossarian - essentially the only sane one among a crowd of crazies - holds up.
