Product details
The Harz, the highest mountain range in northern Germany, is located at the intersection of Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia. This popular holiday destination, featuring the 1,141-meter-high Brocken, offers a variety of hiking and cycling trails for all interests. Particularly, the 222 stamp stations of the Harzer Wandernadel provide hikers with the opportunity to discover the most beautiful and diverse natural wonders, the most romantic cliffs and rock formations, and the most interesting sights, while also earning a hiking badge at different performance levels. The new map set of the Harz presents the region on three tear- and weather-resistant detailed hiking maps, featuring the 222 stamp stations of the Harzer Wandernadel and the complete cycling and hiking trail network at a scale of 1:33,000. Additionally, the 25 new stamp stations along the Karstwanderweg are also shown on the maps. The detailed representation of cycling and hiking trails, along with the stamp stations, facilitates individual planning of hikes and, of course, hiking to the stamp stations. Each map lists the marked stamp stations with a search index, and a legend explains the most important symbols and hiking trails. A UTM grid allows for the use of a GPS device, and the integrated terrain shading visualizes the mountain range.
