The Lexicon of Lexicons, where everyone can contribute, has displaced all other reference works from the market: Wikipedia is free, available in over 300 languages, and is used by university professors as well as teachers and students, journalists, and editors alike. However, a monopoly on knowledge carries risks. Therefore, it is particularly important here: knowledge not only means power but, above all, responsibility regarding the accuracy and neutrality of the content. But does Wikipedia live up to this claim? Is the encyclopedia really as free and independent as it claims to be? Some have already suspected it, and this book confirms it: there is targeted, even systematic manipulation in Wikipedia in favor of influential interest groups from politics and business, who seek to impose their agenda in this way. This is not a conspiracy theory, and the book illustrates how this happens in practice through numerous sources and enlightening examples.
