Hydrogen in vehicle technology provides a general overview of the various aspects of properties, production, storage, and application of hydrogen. The focus is on the thermodynamics of hydrogen storage as well as its application in vehicle technology and energy technology. With reference to research projects at TU Graz and HyCentA, the current state of the art is presented in a well-founded manner. This edition includes a dedicated section on fuel cells for electricity generation for electric drives. A new method for hydrogen production through pyrolysis from glycerin has been added. Sections on current applications, combustion engines for mixtures of hydrogen and methane, materials, as well as issues of efficiency and CO2 emissions have also been updated.
